Overview
Synthan.AI (“we”, “us”) operates synthanai.com and the UnmAI verification experience. We aim to collect only the information needed to operate, secure and improve these services.
Information we handle
- Claims you submit to UnmAI. When you use live verification, the claim text you enter is sent to the UnmAI verification service so it can retrieve evidence, produce an investigation record and return a result. Please do not submit secrets, confidential material or sensitive personal information.
- Verification records. The service may store investigation identifiers, claim text, evidence metadata, verdicts, provenance and operational metadata needed for auditability, debugging, abuse prevention and service history.
- Technical and security data. Our hosting and API infrastructure may process standard technical data such as IP address, browser or client type, request time, requested path and security events. Anonymous verification quotas are designed to use a one-way representation of client IP for quota accounting rather than storing the raw IP in the quota key.
- Information you send us. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message so we can respond.
How we use information
- to operate the verification service and return evidence-backed results;
- to preserve provenance, audit and replay information associated with investigations;
- to protect the service from abuse, attacks and excessive automated use;
- to diagnose failures, monitor reliability and improve product quality; and
- to respond to enquiries and demo requests.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not embed privileged provider or backend API keys in public browser code.
- We do not use an unresolved or missing-evidence result as permission to invent a factual conclusion in the website interface.
Service providers and external sources
Verification can involve infrastructure providers and external evidence sources needed to retrieve and evaluate public information. Those providers may process request data under their own terms and privacy practices. Evidence links may take you to third-party websites that we do not control.
Retention and deletion
We retain verification and operational records only for as long as reasonably needed for product operation, auditability, security, legal obligations and service improvement. Retention periods may vary while UnmAI is in beta and may become more specific as account and workspace controls are introduced. You may contact us to request access, correction or deletion where applicable.
Security
We use technical safeguards intended to reduce unauthorized access and abuse, including HTTPS, restrictive browser security policies, request validation, rate and quota controls, secret isolation and server-side enforcement of verification logic. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure.
